Mold Shakeout and Cleaning

The main task of shot blasting is to remove the bumps, unevenness and rust that are done on the casting parts.
Shot blasting is performed after the thermal science process to remove all the points that have rusted and oxidized during the heat treatment process. During the heat treatment process in casting, oxidation may occur during the annealing, hardening, normalizing or tempering process depending on the various process parameters.

Oxidation on various surfaces can be easily removed by shot blasting. This makes other operations like machining much easier.
